History, Philosophy and Territory
In the heart of Umbria, among the gentle hills connecting the provinces of Terni and Perugia, stands Fattoria di Monticelloโa place where nature, agriculture, and hospitality are deeply and authentically intertwined.
Here, in one of Italy's most pristine and evocative landscapes, the land is not just a productive element, but a heritage to be respected and enhanced every day.
A story born from the earth
The history of Fattoria di Monticello is rooted in the agricultural tradition of the Scassini family, active in the sector since the 1950s.
Over time, what was once a diversified agricultural enterprise has evolved into a structured and modern company, without ever losing its original values: hard work, respect for nature, and a connection to the land.
Today, Fattoria extends over approximately 500 hectares of vineyards, olive groves, arable land, livestock farms, and woods, representing a true integrated agricultural supply chain.
A philosophy: producing while respecting nature
At the basis of everything there is a clear vision: quality arises from the balance between man, environment and time.
The company adopts a biosustainable agriculture approach, combining traditional practices such as crop rotation and careful soil management through organic fertilizers, with modern technologies.
Every choice is guided by a simple but fundamental principle: leaving the land better than how you found it.
The territory: between authentic Umbria and unique soils
Fattoria di Monticello is located in an area particularly suited to agriculture, where the Umbrian hills offer a mosaic of ideal exposures, altitudes, and microclimates.
The hectares of property are divided between Massa Martana and Ripalvella, in the municipality of San Venanzo. On one side, the soil is compact and clayey, located at an altitude of 500 meters above sea level and exposed to constant ventilation, creating a microclimate particularly favorable for agricultural production.
On the other hand, soils rich in minerals, located in an ancient volcanic area, contribute decisively to the identity of the company's products.
Human values
and future vision
For Fattoria di Monticello, the true value lies not only in the land, but in the people who work it.
Respect, transparency, and loyalty are the pillars that guide every daily activity, creating a strong bond between the company, employees, and guests.
This vision translates into authentic hospitality and an agriculture that looks to the future without forgetting its roots.
